Dirty was probably the album that put Sonic Youth into the consciousness of millions of grunge/alternative fans, spawning not one, not two, not three, but four music videos for MTV. I can’t bash it - the Daydream Nation, Goo and Dirty albums were what drew me to Sonic Youth in the first place.
