About this item

Sound of Impact was the mythical limited pressing by Big Black. It was released with little fanfare, using a made up record label, without any reference to the band’s name or the actual names of their songs. The first pressing was 1000 individually numbered copies - this one is #84.

The adornment on the back cover? Transcripts of the final messages sent by airliners before hitting the ground. Hence, Sound of Impact.

How I got it

I was sorting through my own records today and came upon this one… I honestly have no recollection of when I got it or from where. It’s probably just been moving with me from house to house for the last few decades.
