The Waldos

Biography

After Heartbreakers broker up, Walter Lure started a new band named after the nickname that Johnny Thunders had affectionately dubbed up him: The Waldos.

The Waldos were mostly a live band, picking up shows in New York City when Walter and his bandmates felt they wanted some extra money…. They called these gigs “Rent Parties”, and so their first album was called Rent Party as well.

After his retirement from Wall Street, Walter re-constituted the Waldos with a new set of bandmates and put out a second album.
