X-Cops
When they’re not being intergalactic crack addicts trying to enslave humankind, several members of Gwar also moonlight in law enforcement.
You would think it’s weird, crack addicts in law enforcement, but five minutes into any of their performances, you’ll see that the X-Cops are perfectly comfortable, too comfortable, with all illicit substances they’ve seized for themselves.
I saw the X-Cops open for Gwar during their first go around and their music has never been buried too deep in my playlists. Thirty years later, I think, my jaw dropped in surprise when they took to the stage at the Palladium in Worcester to brandish their wit (and firearms) for the first time in decades.

Gwar ticket signed by both of Derks’ alter egos
Saw Michael Derks at the merch table at the Webster in Hartford between the X-Cops and Gwar sets and scrambled to find something for him to sign for me.
